She came to us after her beloved person had to move into memory care and, heartbreakingly, Sylvia couldn’t come along. A well-meaning aunt wanted to help, but Sylvia is afraid of dogs, so the shelter became her next stop on the journey.

It’s all been a bit much for her. While Sylvia is truly a friendly, loving girl, the shelter environment has her feeling shy and unsure. Underneath that initial hesitation, though, is a gentle soul who wants connection, comfort, and a safe place to finally exhale.

Sylvia is looking for a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace and spend her golden years surrounded by kindness. Once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with quiet companionship, soft affection, and the kind of presence that makes a house feel like home.
