Pet Evacuation & Disaster Safety Event ![]()
In Butte County, we know all too well how quickly wildfires and emergencies can change everything. Being prepared can make all the difference—for you and your pets.
Join us at the Chico Cat Coalition during our next Open Shelter Hours for a special community event focused on pet evacuation and disaster safety. We’re partnering with the City of Chico Fire Department and Butte County Office of Emergency Management to help you feel confident and ready if disaster strikes.
Saturday, May 16
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Chico Cat Coalition – 629 Entler Ave, Suite 13, Chico
What to expect:
Learn how to safely evacuate with your pets
Take home ready-to-use emergency resources
Pick up animal alert window stickers for your home
See a real-life example of a pet emergency “Go Bag”
Kids can grab a fun goodie bag while they learn, too!
This is a relaxed, drop-in event—come anytime between 11–1, ask questions, and leave feeling more prepared to keep your animals safe.
And of course… while you’re here, spend some time with our adorable, adoptable cats. They’d love the company, or even better: a furrrever home!
